Hi everyone, we apologize for the current downtime. Our host refuses to detect one of the RAID boot drives and doesn't boot up properly. We are still investigating.
Since we recently extended our setup, we could in worst case restore on one of the other hosts. However, the database is not clustered yet, so we'll first try to bring up the primary instance.
We have restored service, but we are currently having issues with IPv6 connectivity (so down to #GitHub service levels only).
We will fix this as soon as possible.
The good news: Since we recently improved our Ceph setup, recovery of the service was much quicker than before, because the server could immediately reconnect to the three server ring.
IPv6 connectivity is still not available, we are investigating the issue. In the meantime, there might be short periods of unavailability due to network reconfiguration. We try to keep the impact as small as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
We have resolved the issue a while ago (but forgot to send an update).
@Codeberg Thanks for all your work nevertheless!
@Codeberg thank you
@Codeberg Any particular info on Codeberg Pages' unavailability?
Like what the current issue is?
@Codeberg Thanks! No worries for the impact, I noticed status.codeberg.org and just went to work on something else instead of pushing (yeah it was a few hours ago during the downtime).
It's OK to have some downtime, it happens, no stress.
With love, from France.
@Codeberg what do you mean by "down to github service levels only"? As in GitHub not supporting IPv4?
@laxla Github only supports IPv4 but not IPv6. Codeberg usually supports both, but for a few minutes, we also only supported IPv4 and not IPv6.
@Codeberg
Shots fired
@Codeberg Is it the same reason I can't browse github at the moment? I was wondering what was going on.
Here's hoping it gets fixed soon, love the place.
@lwflouisa It's unrelated, this was a slightlyyy sarcastic remark poking fun at GitHub's lack of IPv6. ~n
@Codeberg Yea I just learned about that Github breach, that's interesting.
@Codeberg Github is now having that spammer issue of people doing inauthentic pull requests and unauthorized forking.
@Codeberg Must admit that I love how transparently you communicate all ongoing technical issues here, not just "piss off and check the status page for details [which are often in the format of 'we are aware of the problem and investigate']" :)
