Trying to set up OpenMediaVault on my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF, but my aftermarket NVMe isn’t detected during install (tested with Debian, OMV, TrueNAS, Arch). BIOS sees it, but no OS does. Even after installing the OS on another PC, the EliteDesk won’t boot from it. Only the original NVMe works. Secure Boot is off. Anyone solved this?

On August 4 in 2010 i have set up a new mailserver that i called mail-2.

It was a #debian lenny and i followed the howto from https://workaround.org/ which i would still today recommend.

Over the time this has been upgraded and it did actually work reasonable well.

Tonight it finally got upgraded to bookwurm and therefore has seen 8 distribution upgrades.

Wie haben zwei neue VMs hingestellt und unser Payment Gateway installiert. Der Core wurde Ende der 90‘er in Perl geschrieben und ist mit heftigen Erweiterungen heute immer noch im Einsatz. Dummerweise haben die neuen aus $1000.05 $1000 gemacht, weil ein Perl Modul gefehlt hat. Ich glaube, es war libmath-bigint-perl.

Zu blöd, dass es keine Fehlermeldung gab. Ich tippe drauf, dass es früher eine Paketabhängigkeit gab, die es unter 12 nicht mehr gibt.

Ausser von dem Grünzeug lass ich mich ja auch von den Katzen und meinen Rechnern tyrannisieren.
Heute hab ich u.a. das alte hp Chromebook aktualisiert.
(hp CB 13 G1, im5, 8GiB RAM, 2023 von Google ausgemustert, von mir entgoogelt und mit #Sparky #Linux weiterbetrieben)
Es läuft schon seit über einem Jahr stabil auf Basis von #debian13trixie .
So viel zu #Debian Betas!
Aber da es mir auch mit dem Sparky semi rolling nicht schnell genug geht, hab ich ihm heute den #Kernel 6.14 verpasst.
Läuft.

Der #Paketmanager #Zypper von #openSUSE hat eine neue experimentelle Funktion erhalten. Künftig sind parallele Downloads möglich, ähnlich wie bei #Pacman von #Arch oder #APT von #Debian. Zudem wurde das Medien-Backend überarbeitet, um die Effizienz zu steigern.

Diese Neuerungen wurden mit den Versionen libzypp 17.36.4 und Zypper 1.14.87 vorgestellt.
