I've been rearranging my new (tiny, old) apartment, and have gone to the trouble of setting up my 7 foot wide x 10 foot tall green screen on its mounting poles.

I've got the bottom curled under, and I've left a couple of inches space from the ceiling, so it's about 7.5 foot high. Using clamps on the side poles to keep it stretched nice and tight.

I've missed having my green screen set up, but I haven't done any filming since the pandemic started.

It's basically what Disney used to have actors in front of animated backgrounds in Mary Poppins (1964). The process allows you to composite half-transparent things that traditional chroma keying like greenscreen and bluescreen struggle with, e.g. glass, water, veils, hair and motion blur, with minimal to no visible artifacts.

Watching classic Dr Who on Pluto TV. I had almost erased the memory of Chroma Key from my brain, but these shows have reminded me of it.
