Alex SeifertI just bought a used ThinkPad L14 laptop with a 1 TB SSD, 32 GB of RAM, an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Windows 11 Pro for €320 on ebay. I'm thinking about also installing Linux on it. I want a European-based distro and am considering Ubuntu LTS or openSUSE Leap. Which one would you go for? AstroHydeExceedingly unimpressed with my oldish macbook pro and it's inaccessible and yet needing replacement battery. About 7 years old, and likely the last Mac I'll try to buy (A1502). My previous A1150 had a slide out battery which I'll definitely be making mandatory as I switch my/telescope workstations slowly to Ubuntu.
