Chris Alemany<p>I feel very lucky and honoured to have seen a kermode bear/spirit bear in the 90s when I was travelling up the Central Coast of BC. Black bears are very common but there are only 50 to a few hundred of these bears. They are only found on a few of the Islands and mainland coastline. They are sacred in Indigenous teachings.</p><p><a href="https://socialbc.ca/tags/BC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>BC</span></a> <a href="https://socialbc.ca/tags/Wild" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wild</span></a> <a href="https://socialbc.ca/tags/Bear" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Bear</span></a> <a href="https://socialbc.ca/tags/Kermode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Kermode</span></a><br><a href="https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.6702109" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">cbc.ca/player/play/video/9.670</span><span class="invisible">2109</span></a></p>
