oatmeal
Will the wheat grow again? A funny story about the time the butcher-from-Balfour got ratioed.

#Netnayhu was very smug when he finished his set of curated lies about restoring and repopulating the Gaza envelope settlements with a quote from a famous poem titled "The Wheat Grows Again".

-----
Behold, it is that same valley,

behold, it is that same house,

But you, you can never return.

And how did it happen,

and how did it happen and how does it still happen

That the wheat grows again.
-----

The poem was written by Dorit Tzamaret, a peace activist. It was written about the impact of the death of 11 soldiers from her kibbutz during the October 1973 war had on her.

Her granddaughter, Aya Arbel-Sharif, wrote in reply:

"Binyamin, my grandmother Dorit Tzamaret wrote the poem 'The Wheat Grows Again'.
