A four episode run and they couldn’t maintain quality past one episode. What a massive waste of time and budget. Hopefully whoever will adapt Junji Ito's Uzumaki again in the near future, will learn from this anime adaptation and DON'T repeat the same mistakes. ============================== Die Regisseure und Produzenten sollten sich schämen und die Animatoren sollten sich zum Teil schämen. This triptych was a labor of love for me, it took a few months of stopping and restarting. It’s hard to say where this came from, it’s a bit of a mixture of Japanese and coastal influences, kintsugi and uzumaki were both names for this set at one point. There’s definitely a flow going on though and movement was definitely in my mind the whole time.
