For #EpigraphyTuesday a charming face pot found in the #Roman burial site of Frankfurt-Zeilsheim bearing an inscription:

…RAT<I>ARIOR(um)

The inscription may indicate that the deceased was a member of a collegium (association) of raftsmen (ratis = raft).
